iPhone 5 Full Specifications: An Overview
iPhone 5 was one of Apple’s best designed smartphone to date. The corner and entire body carved out of solid aluminum with a touch of glass. It is beautiful.
Or is it just outside beauty? Take a look at the internals and you be the judge.

The iPhone 5 now got a bigger 1440 mAh non-removable, Lithium-ion polymer battery.
The iPhone 5 comes with iOS 6 but can be upgraded to iOS 9.3. According to user opinions, upgrade at your own risk because later versions of iOS are not really optimized for the iPhone 5.
Internal storage ranges from 16Gb, 32Gb, and a 64Gb variant. All having 1Gb of DDR2 RAM. As usual, no external storage expansion.
Camera features for the iPhone 5 is an 8 MP, f/2.4, 33mm. It has phase detection autofocus and LED flash for still images. On the video department, it can do 1080p@30fps.
The display uses an older tech, based on how AMOLED is now a dominant component on smartphones, an LED-backlit IPS LCD, capacitive touchscreen. This 4-inch glass can render a resolution as high as 640 x 1136.
The iPhone 5 form factor scales up to 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm making it even thinner. The iPhone 5’s biggest selling point is the all aluminum, angled unibody frame that feels good to the touch.
Underneath it all, the brain of the iPhone 5 is an Apple A6. It’s a dual-core 1.3 GHz Swift (ARM v7-based) CPU.
GPU for graphic power assist is a PowerVR SGX 543MP3, a triple-core graphics chip.
Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass
These are the sensors that helps manage power and overall functionality of the iPhone 5.
The Wi-Fi antenna on the new iPhone 5 supports all kinds of bandwidths with reversible lightning connector for external connections and wired charging.
