Vivid Music & Vivid Ideas presents: GOLDHEIST as part of a curated evening of talk, music & art.

Vivid Art After Hours is a mix of music, talks and experiences. Come along for some mental stimulation, linger over drinks and of course – catch the Archibald Prize. Three Wednesdays of curated music from Goldheist – May 30, Air Land Sea – June 6 & Haiku Hands – June 13.

Over three successive Wednesdays, Vivid will take over the Art Gallery of NSW to create an intimate portrait of our better selves. Our special guests dare to ask if we can improve dying, how we can find common ground when and where there’s conflict, and why we should nudge perceptions around female sexuality. Linger after all the intellectual stimulation for drinks and live music.  While you’re there, catch the Archibald Prize – a snapshot of the people who are important to us and capture our imaginations.

In a celebration of human communication and storytelling, GOLDHEIST will collaborate with Auslan interpreters to bring her songs and stories to life through music and movement. A vibrant synthesis of expression and sharing, this inclusive event will open up the musical world of GOLDHEIST to members of the Deaf community, as Auslan interpreters use the power and passion of sign-language to convey the poetry of GOLDHEIST’s lyrics in real-time performance.

For the broader community, this magnificent collaboration will serve also to heighten awareness of the incredible resilience within the Deaf community, and the unwavering power of humanity’s capacity to communicate with one another through multi-dimensional means.

GOLDHEIST and her band – vocals, piano, strings and percussion, are visually and sonically arresting, with a magic flowered stage-set.

Transcience: An Experience

Led by Indigo Founder and psychologist Mary Hoang
Indigo Founder and psychologist Mary Hoang will lead Transcience: An Experience- a 20 minute ceremony where you are led through a process of releasing a part of your life that no longer brings you joy, and may be holding you back from living to the fullest.
Death extends far beyond the loss of life. When we look closer at our lives, we are all experiencing the cycles of life and death across many aspects. We witness the evolution of our attitudes, belief systems, emotions, friendships and romantic relationships.  But how do we let go in modern society, without knowledge of the tools, techniques and rituals to support significant change on our lives?
Begin to process the past – whether that be an old flame, a negative self-belief, or past hurt and pain – with this embodied experience by Indigo Founder and psychologist Mary Hoang.
Music direction by Richard Lucano of The Indigo Project and YOND Agency.

Award winning artist GOLDHEIST brings her songs and stories of Australia to stages great and small, from the hallowed halls of the Sydney Opera House where she launched her latest album REALM in September 2017, to theatres and venues across regional NSW.

Music with a conscience, GOLDHEIST tells tales of love, adventure and adversity, painting vibrant pictures of the Australian bush, current affairs and events, and addressing issues of mental health, conservation and conflict.

Likened to Kate Bush and Florence and the Machine, GOLDHEIST’s classical beginnings at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music shine through her beautifully crafted singer-songwriter style, drawing upon vocals, piano, violin and percussion to bring her music to life.
