Rumor: HTC Nexus with 5-inch Screen

HTC being the manufacturer to make the next Nexus device, had some share of rumors associated with the final specs of the smartphone. The display can be a 5-inch screen.

After HTC confirmed itself being the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) of the next generation of Nexus phones with codenames Marlin and Sailfish, here are the rumored specs built into Sailfish:

  • 5-inch, 1080p display
  • Quad-core 2.0GHz 64-bit processor
  • 4GB RAM, 32GB storage
  • 2770 mAh battery
  • 12-megapixel rear camera
  • 8-megapixel front camera
  • USB-C port
  • Fingerprint scanner
  • Top-mounted headphone jack

The choice of retaining the headphone jack is a contrast to what Apple is doing with the iPhone 7\’s ditching the headphone jack and LeEco\’s jackless smartphone. The sources for these leaked specs have a reliability rating of eight out of 10 so leaked photos will eventually come out sooner than expected.

HTC last manufactured the Nexus 9 for Google, which wasn\’t great, but its original Nexus One was actually good, so maybe Sailfish and Marlin will be the re-do HTC needs.
