1. Long Presses
The multi tasking and home buttons can also be used for other stuff when long pressed.
Tip: Long press the multi-task button and it will bring up split screen. This lets you run two apps simultaneously.
Long press the home button and it will bring up Google Now. This one’s for your quick searches online.
2. Full Settings
On your homescreen, we know what features would be dragged down when you swipe with one finger. But what about two?
Tip: Swipe down using two fingers to bring the entire array of settings including those that are hidden from view. In case you really want to go deeper down the menus of a setting, long tap on it. So when you want to setup your Wi-Fi, long tap and you will find yourself in the Settings page.
3. Do Not Disturb
You can still ignore calls on times when you really don’t have to take them. Here’s how on a Samsung Galaxy S7.
Tip:
- Go to Settings -> Sounds and vibration ->Do Not Disturb
- Turn it on.
- On this same page you can set exceptions and schedules.
4. Mute Calls
You can mute calls by covering the screen with your hand or flipping the phone downwards. But this works only if you are in Sound Mode. Here’s how to do it.

- Play and tinker around the speed and aspect ratio.
6. Optimize Battery

- Go to Settings -> Battery
- Tap the More option on the top right corner. Choose Optimize battery usage.
