Have you got a great bike related event, service or project that engages your local community? Don’t miss your chance to apply for a City of Sydney’s Matching Grant up to the value of $10,000.
We’re looking for local projects that engage the community, develop skills and build a bike culture. Perhaps you have an interesting event idea for the 2016 Sydney Rides Festival?
(The matching grant program is also open to for-profits who can demonstrate that the project will activate their local precinct and partner with one or more local business or community groups to deliver the project. – leave this sentence/detail to the grants page)
Previous bike related projects have included:
- Bike 2 Bourke Challenge – A program to get Bourke Street Public School children riding to school.
- Veloscape; A Curating Cities project – A creative research project exploring the unique perspective bike riders have on the urban environment.
- The Bicycle Garden workshops – A volunteer-run program that provides community workshops where any person can learn to build, maintain and repair bicycles.
