Mozart Requiem: 100 Voices
100 voices will fill the stage for Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus from Messiah, an extraordinarily beautiful and joyous concert experience. Featuring the Brandenburg Choir and introducing the Brandenburg Young Voices, a children’s choir Paul Dyer has specially selected for the Sydney performances, for a spine-tingling experience, at once rousing, celebratory, glorious and awesome.
It is impossible not to be moved by the poignant story behind Mozart’s Requiem. A brilliant artist at the height of his career, a well-loved family man, Mozart tries desperately to finish a lucrative commission – a requiem mass for the dead – while he himself lay dying. The Brandenburg Choir will join the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra to perform this majestic and emotional piece.
