hello guys this is glenn from sydney cbd repair center and today we have a redmi k3 pro with a cracked up display as you can see here not looking good let’s fix it [Music] this redmi k30 pro came with us with a broken display so we’re going to replace it first off we’re going to remove this back cover carefully because the rest of the device is really looking brand new so this is a fairly new device that has obtained some of the damages that it has right now so as we open it it really looks a very brand new device so first off we’re going to remove the screws from the daughter board no need to remove the screws on the main board up top with the camera systems so this device is fairly easy to service in terms of replacing the display as you can see here we’re going to remove the antenna cables that are attached to the daughter board and as we remove those connections we’re gonna test the replacement display if it works with the unit itself so here’s the connector for it and now we’re gonna try to turn on the smartphone if it works [Music]

and it does work so this is good news now we can proceed now to the disassembly process so we can finally install this new replacement display to fix this k30 pro [Music] so this is the how you remove the front display you have to melt off the adhesives by heating it up so we did this off screen and now we’re just gonna pry it off because the just like any modern smartphone it is held on by very very strong adhesives so we’re not gonna reuse this we’re gonna throw this away now and we’re gonna clean up the old adhesives that are attached to the chassis because we’re gonna also replace the adhesive with this one because as you may know all the adhesives don’t really work anymore if you try to buy the [Music] display out of the chassis

so this is the fresh adhesives that we apply to all our repairs repair jobs so in terms of repairability redmi k30 pro is easier compared to other devices so if you want to diy this just make sure you have proper experience and of course tools to remove the components that we are going to replace so no need to remove the battery no need to remove the main board just remove the back cover the daughter board and the front glass if you want to replace that one so we’re now going to reassemble everything just put on the daughter board at the bottom connect the connector for the main board and antenna cables and you’re good to go [Music]
