This is according to Head of Mobile at Oculus. Samsung Gear VR is apparently used in five major languages: English, French, German, Korean, Spanish.
The Head of Mobile in Oculus, Max Cohen, just showed the status of Gear VR in the current year. Showing stats that the platform is booming and was eager to share these good results during the Oculus Connect 3.
It has apparently been able to penetrate the enthusiast and consumer market with its easy to use hardware and effective marketing strategies.
Max even pointed out the extent of how the Gear VR has achieved saying,
“We have millions of Gear VR owners across 150 countries right now, and there’s millions more who have tried it. You can actually demo Gear VR in over 15 thousand retail locations in the United States alone. And, the cool thing about this is that this has led to a really vibrant platform.”
The Samsung Gear VR supports 18 languages for the platform but 80% of these are made up of 5 major languages:
The next item to be shared is the amount of supported apps the hardware has already covered:
“We have over 400 applications just for mobile on the Oculus platform, and we’re on track to having close to 500 by the end of the year.”
With this many apps, the list of applications featured in the store still contribute to this great number. Apps like NextVR, American ThemePark Sixflags (this features 12 different rides that uses the Gear VR). Medicine oriented apps also benefit from apps like Kind VR.
More will be announced at Oculus Connect 3 but so far, the company is in a good track.
Samsung has just announced that they have added support for eight more credit and debit card issuers including Chase and SunTrust to Samsung Pay. The payment service will now support Chase Visa® credit, debit and Liquid® cards, Citizens Equity First Credit Union, Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union, Security Service Federal Credit Union, State Employees’ Credit Union, SunTrust and Virginia Credit Union.
As an added bonus, the mobile payment service will also support Navy Federal Credit Union Visa® credit and debit cards, which means that owners of these cards will be able to perform transactions without using actual physical cards as some latest smartphones from Samsung can mimic the payment through MST or NFC.
The purpose of Samsung Pay is to basically make things as easy as possible, which is why it’s important that it supports as many credit and debit card issuers as possible. Here’s what Injong Rhee, EVP of Samsung Electronics, Global Head of Samsung Pay had to say about the matter:

With the addition of these new cards, Samsung Pay is expected to increase its influence in the US. The mobile payment service is already expected to launch in China, Spain and the UK, which will further increase its reach. What’s more is that Samsung could be adding Samsung Pay support to other devices other than their own, which would greatly affect its impact.

Never click on links from unknown sources.
Set your device to accept updates automatically and apply them when notified. This will ensure your device is current with the latest security patches.
Don’t open SMS messages from unknown or unrecognized numbers. Instead, call the number and verify the sender.
Verify all your social media contacts within KakaoTalk, Twitter and others to confirm you know who is sending you what. If it looks suspicious, ask your friend first before clicking on something.

KNOX Keeps Samsung Pay Safe, Too
Today, Samsung Pay is the most widely accepted mobile payment system in the world. Because it doesn’t require stores to install new software or devices, Samsung Pay can be used on almost any card reading device, just by holding it next to the magnetic reader.
KNOX protects your device on multiple levels to guard your data. With Samsung Pay, KNOX brings its hardware-backed security to the features of Samsung Pay to protect your transactions and personal information. In line with its industry-leading mobile security features, KNOX constantly monitors for malicious activity. KNOX puts to work a series of security features to protect the device, the payment information and the Samsung Pay application, so that customers can focus on shopping.
In addition to KNOX protection, all payment transactions also have three additional layers of security. The first layer is biometric authentication to prevent card fraud when phones are lost or stolen. Since payments are authorized with your fingerprint, your phone only allows payments with your consent. The second layer protecting Samsung Pay is KNOX, which constantly monitors for malware and suspicious activities on Samsung devices equipped with Samsung Pay. The third layer is tokenization of card payment data, which means each transaction uses a digital token instead of the card number.
In addition, if a smartphone is lost, the data in the device can be deleted remotely or the Samsung Pay function can be suspended through the “Find My Mobile” service.

Samsung has started rolling out Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Galaxy E7 in India today. The device, which was released along with the Galaxy E5, was shipped with Android 4.4.4 KitKat at the time of its launch. Samsung jumped straitght from KitKat to Android 5.1.1 for both these devices skipping Android 5.0 altogether. The Galaxy E5 received the update in several markets about two months ago.
The Android 5.1 update was released for the Galaxy E7 (SM-E700F) in Sri Lanka during the first week of this month, and now in India. You can check for the OTA update (E700HXXU1BOJ7) in the Settings menu on your Galaxy E7 (SM-E700H) or download it from our firmware section and flash it manually using Odin.
